HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILY ALLEN!
This is my mother’s back piece. She got it done over the course of 2 years. She initially had several of the smaller pieces and decided to get it all tied in together with the solar system motif, and to get it framed with the ivy. Her tattoo artist is Denis Sullivan at Sullivan Custom Ink in Clarksville, TN. My mom is my inspiration and I have already gotten several tattoos following in her footsteps.

hm.
This is my first tattoo and right now the most meaningful. When I was just 7 years old I was diagnosed with Leukemia, a certain type of cancer. It was really rough on my family and myself but we got through it and I’ve been in remission for about 5 years. It’s been 7 years since I was first diagnosed and I’m 15 now. The black birds represent the struggles I’ve faced in the past during this fight and the Orange bird represents the Leukemia survivors ribbon color. The orange bird is a reminder to myself that in the end everything is going to be fine and I’ll be okay. My tattoo artist is amazing. Everyone calls her Ch-Ch-Ch-Chavez and she’s truly talented and amazing and she helped make this experience of my first tattoo memorable. ♥
I don’t know if I’ve posted this picture or not.

And just days later, the inevitable conclusion to their doomed union.

I got my tattoo done at Planet Ink by an awesome guy named Wes Holland in Austell, GA. It is my first tattoo and it’s a Pikachu. I customized it and made it my own. Some people might think my tattoo is random because it’s a Pokemon but, I can truly say I’m one of the “original” fans of Pokemon. I got this tattoo to symbolize the fun times I had as a kid. Me, my brother and my grandma would stand outside Toy’s R Us when each card generation came out just to buy the packs. I played in the “Pokemon leagues” held at bookstores and collected original Pokemon cards. I saw Pokemon the first movie in theaters just to get the ancient Mew card and would wake up every Saturday morning to watch new episodes of the TV show on Kids WB. I still, to this day play the original red, yellow, blue and nintendo64 games. It’s something that reminds me of my childhood and I’m happy that I grew up with Pokemon. The show means alot to me and each time I look at this tattoo it reminds me of all the fun times I had growing up with it. It may be simple but I will always love this tattoo, i’ll never be too old for Pikachu <3
I have been obsessed with Japanese tattoos and artwork since I was young, around 12 years old. After seeing a few koi tattoos, I fell in love and knew that what’s I wanted as my first tattoo! When I turned 18, I went on over to Screamin’ Ink and had Jeremy Miller do this piece. Love it :)
